The holidays have come and gone and many of us have put away our holiday décor and are hit with the desire to change our homes interior.  A fresh coat of paint, a new window treatment, or perhaps the addition of accent lighting for the long winter nights.

Lighting can be strictly for function; recessed and overhead lighting are an important part of every room.  Accent lights, scattered throughout a room, give a room warmth and personality.  Consider adding a floor lamp next to a chair, its ideal for reading.  Ramp up you lamp shades in any given room; shades can be trimmed with beads, ribbons or be a dramatic accent color.

Tabletop lighting adds depth to your décor, no need to match you lighting choices, variety makes a room come alive.

Mid winter days and nights warrant a cozy throw on a sofa or chair and hopefully a fire in the hearth.
